Hello, my new young friends!  I look forward to being your librarian this school year.  I plan to bring many good read alouds, and some exciting library skill lessons as well.

Rainbow of Information

Rainbow Fish had many beautiful scales, but he was selfish and would not share, until he got some good information from wise octopus.....

All of we teachers have lots and lots of good information for you:  let us share it with you to make you wise.

We promise to teach you well, you promise to learn it well:  we have some beautiful scales to give to you, will you take one?

Summer vacation is over--now, it is back to your learning.  Your teachers have been making their classrooms ready for you.  They await your return to share some "smart" information with you.


Come on in!  ....and bring your BRAIN.

Where did that spaceship come from?

National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA, the United States space program, was official today in 1958!

Do you know the planets we have sent space probes toward?  Use the internet to find out!  Use the key words:  "US Space Probes" and see what you can discover!

She had a dream and she worked hard to make it happen.

You can learn to do the same thing she did--follow all the steps you need to do to make your dreams come true: do well in school-save the clowning for the circus, you deserve better from yourself!

Welcome Hawaii into the United States!

They became the 50th state in 1959 on this day!

There are several ways to get information on this great state. You could go to a paper encyclopedia, the "H" volume. On the internet, you could Google Hawaii. The 996's would be the nonfiction dewey decimal number for a book. For a presentation of the main ideas, looking in the index of the current almanac would give some brief facts of the Hawaiian Islands.
